Which eSIM sellers accept USDT on TRC-20?

eSIMwithCrypto accepts USDT on Tron (TRC-20), and it is not the only seller supporting that network. Bitrefill’s official payment help also names USDT on Tron and Ethereum (checked 15 October 2026). Consult the dated crypto acceptance matrix for each seller’s payment network and source.

How do I buy an eSIM with USDT, step by step?

The steps are the same on both networks; only the network you pick and the address format change (Tron: starts with T; Ethereum: starts with 0x).

  1. Choose your eSIM

Find your destination on the destinations page or the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars.

  2. Pick USDT and its network at checkout

Choose USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or on Ethereum (ERC-20). The payment page shows the exact USDT price of your order, with no minimum, and an address for that network only.

  3. Copy the address and the exact amount

Copy both from the payment page, or scan the QR code with your wallet. After you paste the address, check its first and last characters.

  4. Withdraw on the same network

In your exchange or wallet, choose USDT and the network you picked: Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20). Send the exact amount in one transfer, and add the exchange fee if it is taken from the amount.

  5. Click “I’ve sent the payment”

Your payment is matched by its exact amount. The amount and the rate stay locked for 30 minutes.

  6. Wait about 1 minute on Tron, 5 on Ethereum

After 20 confirmations on Tron, or 12 on Ethereum, the eSIM is bought and its QR code appears in My eSIMs.

  7. Install the eSIM before you leave

Install it on Wi-Fi with the QR code, or with a one-tap install button on iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later. Turn on the line and data roaming when you land.

Where do I get USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20?

From an exchange that offers USDT withdrawals on the Tron or Ethereum network, or from a self-custody wallet that already holds USDT on one of them. The withdrawal screen of an exchange lists the networks it supports for each coin: check that Tron is one of them before you buy.

For example, Kraken lists Tron among its USDT networks (support page, updated June 2, 2026). The same page marks USDT as delisted for clients in the European Economic Area. In the EEA, check what your exchange offers before you buy USDT, or pay with another accepted coin. Tether lists Tron (TRC-20) and Ethereum (ERC-20) among the networks where it issues USDT.

Which network do I choose on the exchange?

Choose Tron. Exchanges name it in different ways, for example Tron, TRC-20 or TRC20. The address on our payment page starts with T and has 34 characters. If your exchange expects another format for the network you picked, stop and check.

Do not choose BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), Ethereum (ERC-20) or Solana for the Tron address. To pay in USDT on Ethereum, pick the ERC-20 option on our payment page instead: it shows a separate 0x address. Confirmations, fees and wrong-network errors: USDT (TRC-20) eSIM payment.

Do I need TRX in my wallet?

From a self-custody wallet, usually yes. Every Tron transaction uses bandwidth, and a USDT transfer also uses energy, which has no free allowance. If your account has no staked or delegated energy, the network burns TRX from it to pay. Keep some TRX next to your USDT, or the transfer can fail.

From an exchange, you do not need TRX: the exchange pays the network and charges you its withdrawal fee. We have not measured these fees yet, so we give no figure. See what a crypto payment really costs for where to check them live.

Do I need ETH to send USDT on ERC-20?

From a self-custody wallet, yes. USDT on Ethereum is an ERC-20 token, and every ERC-20 transfer pays gas in ETH, so keep some ETH in the same wallet, or the transfer fails. The gas price changes with demand on Ethereum (ethereum.org).

From an exchange, you do not need ETH: the exchange pays the gas and charges you its withdrawal fee. We have not measured these fees yet, so we give no figure. Compare the TRC-20 and ERC-20 withdrawal fees on your exchange’s screen before you choose. Confirmations, fees and wrong-network errors: USDT (ERC-20) eSIM payment.

TRC-20 or ERC-20: which USDT network should I use?

Both are accepted at the same dollar price. The differences:

  • Confirmation time: about 1 minute on Tron (20 confirmations), about 5 minutes on Ethereum (12 confirmations).
  • Network fee: Tron takes TRX, or staked energy and bandwidth; Ethereum takes gas in ETH, which changes with demand. We have not measured either, so check both live before you send.
  • Address: a Tron address starts with T; an Ethereum address starts with 0x.

If your exchange offers both, compare the two withdrawal fees on its screen. Details: pay with USDT (ERC-20).

What else should I know before buying?

Can I buy an eSIM with USDT on TRC-20?

Yes. eSIMwithCrypto accepts USDT on Tron (TRC-20) for every eSIM, at the same dollar price as every other coin. The payment needs 20 confirmations, usually about 1 minute. At checkout, you pay the exact price of your order in crypto, with no minimum and no top-up.

Can I buy an eSIM with USDT on ERC-20?

Yes. eSIMwithCrypto accepts USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20) at the same dollar price as on Tron. The payment page shows an Ethereum address starting with 0x, and the payment needs 12 confirmations, usually about 5 minutes. From your own wallet, keep some ETH for gas. Never send ERC-20 USDT to a Tron address, or the reverse.

Can I buy an eSIM for Japan with USDT?

Yes. Every eSIM in the catalogue can be paid in USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, Japan included. Japan plans start at $1.79, and the best value per GB is 20 GB · 30 days for $17.19. Plans, networks and tips: Japan eSIM.

How long does a USDT TRC-20 payment take?

Usually about 1 minute for the 20 confirmations on Tron. Then the eSIM is bought, and its QR code appears in My eSIMs, usually a few minutes after the payment is confirmed on the blockchain. An exchange may take longer to send the withdrawal than the network takes to confirm it.

Do I need TRX to send USDT on TRC-20?

From a self-custody wallet, usually yes: the Tron network burns TRX for energy and bandwidth when your account has none staked. From an exchange, no: you pay the exchange's withdrawal fee instead. Either way, eSIMwithCrypto adds no fee of its own.

What if my exchange only offers USDT on BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20)?

Then do not send it: USDT on BEP-20 is not accepted, and funds sent on another network can't be recovered. Use USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20) if your exchange offers it, or another accepted coin such as USDC on Ethereum, SOL or LTC.

Is paying in USDT more expensive than paying in another coin?

No. The eSIM costs the same dollar price in every coin and on every network. The only extra cost is the network fee or the exchange withdrawal fee. You pay it to the network or to your exchange, not to eSIMwithCrypto. On a very small order, that fee can be large compared with the price: check it live before you send, or put several eSIMs in one order.

Do I need an account or an ID to pay in USDT?

No ID: no passport, no selfie, no documents. The account is a 16-digit account number created at payment, with no email needed. Email is optional, for receipts, reminders and account recovery. Keep your account number safe. We never ask for your account number or your eSIM activation code (QR code) by email or chat.

Can I get my USDT back if I do not use my eSIM?

Not in crypto. Our refund rule: an eSIM that is not installed, or that we cannot deliver, is credited back to your balance; an installed eSIM is not refundable. A credit never expires and pays your next eSIMs and data top-ups, but it is not paid back in crypto. So check that your phone supports eSIM and is not carrier-locked before you buy.
