## How do I pay for an eSIM with USDT (ERC-20)?

Six steps, from choosing a plan to an eSIM on your phone.

1. **Choose your eSIM** — Find your destination on the destinations page, or compare every plan on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and the same in every coin.
2. **Choose USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20)** — At checkout, pick USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20). The payment page shows the exact amount of your order and a 30-minute countdown. Our address is an Ethereum address of 42 characters, starting with 0x.
3. **Send the exact amount** — Send the exact amount, in one transfer, from your wallet or your exchange. On the withdrawal screen of your exchange, choose Ethereum or ERC-20; the name varies by exchange. BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum and Base use the same 0x address format, so a wallet may accept the wrong network without a warning.
4. **Click “I’ve sent the payment”** — Click it once your wallet has sent the payment. Your payment is matched to your order by its exact amount: no transaction ID to paste, nothing else to send us.
5. **Wait for 12 confirmations** — Your payment needs 12 confirmations on Ethereum (ERC-20), usually about 5 minutes. The eSIM is then bought.
6. **Install your eSIM** — Scan the QR code in My eSIMs, in the client area, or use a one-tap install button on iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later. Install on Wi-Fi before you leave, then turn on the line and data roaming when you land.

## Which network must I use to send USDT?

Use the Ethereum network (ERC-20) only, and send to the address shown on the payment page. USDT is accepted on two networks only: Ethereum (ERC-20) and Tron (TRC-20). Each network has its own deposit address on the payment page.

> **Check the network before you send** Do not send USDT on BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism or Base: they use the same 0x address format. Do not send ETH, USDC or another token to the address shown for a USDT payment. Do not let your exchange deduct its withdrawal fee from the amount: the exact amount must arrive. Do not split the payment into two or more transfers: send the exact amount in one transfer. Funds sent on another network or in another coin can't be recovered. If you are unsure, ask support before you send, not after.

## How much does it cost to pay with USDT (ERC-20)?

eSIMwithCrypto adds no fee for paying with USDT (ERC-20): you pay the dollar price of the eSIM, the same in every coin. The network fee is paid by the sender, on top of the exact amount. An ERC-20 transfer pays Ethereum gas, and gas is paid in ETH, not in USDT. Gas changes with demand on the network, so the same transfer can cost more or less from one hour to the next.

We have not measured network fees yet, so we give no figure. Check the live fee before you send: the Etherscan Gas Tracker (etherscan.io/gastracker), and the withdrawal screen of your exchange. If your exchange takes its withdrawal fee from the amount, add it so that the exact amount arrives. The full breakdown is on [what a crypto payment really costs](https://esimwithcrypto.com/crypto-payment-cost/).

## Which wallet or exchange can I use?

Any wallet or exchange that can send USDT on the Ethereum network (ERC-20) works, with a normal blockchain transfer to the address shown. From a self-custody wallet, keep some ETH next to your USDT to pay the gas.

On the withdrawal screen of your exchange, choose Ethereum or ERC-20; the name varies by exchange. BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum and Base use the same 0x address format, so a wallet may accept the wrong network without a warning.

Payment services inside an exchange, such as Binance Pay, are not blockchain transfers, so they are not accepted. Each order is paid on its own, at its exact price: there is no balance to fund first.

## Which other eSIM sellers accept USDT on ERC-20?

Of the 24 eSIM sellers we checked on October 9, 2026, only eSIM-Now names Ethereum as a USDT network on its own page. Cryptorefills lists coins and networks separately, and four sellers name USDT without any network.

| Seller | Accepts USDT? | Network or method stated |
| --- | --- | --- |
| eSIMwithCrypto | Yes | Ethereum (ERC-20); credited after 12 confirmations |
| eSIM-Now | Yes | USDT on Ethereum, Base, Polygon and Solana |
| Cryptorefills | USDT listed | Ethereum among its listed networks |
| Bitrefill | USDT listed | Network not stated on its eSIM page |
| Airhub | USDT listed | Network not stated in its crypto guide |
| Stellar eSim | USDT listed | Network not stated |
| nadanada | USDT listed | Network not stated |
| PikaSim | USDT on Tron named | Ethereum (ERC-20) not named |
| Airalo | No crypto | Cards, PayPal, Airmoney, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Alipay |

We sell eSIMs. Our plans are included and marked. Competitor details come from each seller's own payment or help pages, checked October 9, 2026. "Network not stated" means that the seller's page names USDT but not the network, so you cannot know before checkout whether ERC-20 works there. Every seller and coin we checked is in the [crypto acceptance matrix](https://esimwithcrypto.com/crypto-acceptance-matrix/).

## How payment works

1. **Pay the exact price of your order** — There is no minimum and no balance to fund. The cart allows up to 10 different plans per order, and up to 10 eSIMs of each plan. Choose the coin (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC) and the network: the payment page shows the exact crypto amount, locked for 30 minutes, with a countdown. Credits on your balance, if any, are used first.
2. **Send it to the address shown, on the exact network** — The payment page shows our address for the coin and network you picked, with its QR code: BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, LTC on Litecoin. Send only that coin on that network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered. The network fee comes on top of the price.
3. **Send the exact amount in one transfer, then click “I’ve sent the payment”** — Each order has its own exact amount, down to the last decimals: that is how we find your payment and link it to your order.
4. **Wait for the network confirmations** — Your payment is confirmed once the network has confirmed the transaction. Usual times:
5. **Your eSIM appears in My eSIMs** — Once the payment is checked, the eSIM is bought and its QR code appears in My eSIMs, usually a few minutes after the payment is confirmed on the blockchain. Install it on Wi-Fi before you leave.

| Crypto | Network | Confirmations | Usual time |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Bitcoin (BTC) | Bitcoin | 2 | ≈ 20 min |
| Tether (USDT) | Tron (TRC-20) | 20 | ≈ 1 min |
| Tether (USDT) | Ethereum (ERC-20) | 12 | ≈ 5 min |
| USD Coin (USDC) | Ethereum (ERC-20) | 12 | ≈ 5 min |
| Ethereum (ETH) | Ethereum | 12 | ≈ 5 min |
| Solana (SOL) | Solana | 1 | ≈ 1 min |
| Litecoin (LTC) | Litecoin | 6 | ≈ 15 min |

## What else should I check when paying with USDT (ERC-20)?

### Do you ask for ID when I pay with USDT (ERC-20)?

No. eSIMwithCrypto asks for no ID, no selfie and no documents. You pay the exact price of your order in USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20), with no minimum. Your account is a 16-digit account number created at payment, with no email needed. Email is optional, for receipts, reminders and account recovery.

### How many confirmations does a USDT (ERC-20) payment need?

12 on Ethereum (ERC-20), usually about 5 minutes. Other coins: 2 confirmations for BTC, 20 for USDT on TRC-20, 12 for ETH and ERC-20 tokens, 1 for SOL and 6 for LTC. In time, that is about 1 minute for SOL and USDT TRC-20, 5 minutes for ETH and ERC-20 tokens, 15 minutes for LTC and 20 minutes for BTC.

### What happens if I send USDT on the wrong network?

The payment does not pay your order: funds sent on another network or in another coin can't be recovered. USDT is accepted on two networks only: Ethereum (ERC-20) and Tron (TRC-20). Each network has its own deposit address on the payment page. Compare the network in your wallet or exchange with the payment page before you confirm. If you are unsure, write to support@esimwithcrypto.com before you send.

### Is the USDT amount fixed?

Yes, for 30 minutes. Prices are in US dollars, and the payment page shows the exact USDT amount to send, to the last decimal. That exact amount is how your payment is matched to your order. If your exchange deducts a withdrawal fee from the amount, add it so that the exact amount arrives.

### Is there a minimum USDT payment?

No. At checkout, you pay the exact price of your order in crypto, with no minimum and no top-up, even for a plan at $0.89. The network fee is paid by the sender, on top of the price. On a very small order, it can be large compared with the price: check the live fee before you send, or put several eSIMs in one order.

### Can I get a refund in USDT?

No. Payments are not paid back in crypto. The refund rule is: an eSIM that is not installed, or that we cannot deliver, is credited back to your balance; an installed eSIM is not refundable. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new eSIMs and top-ups, but it is not refundable. The [refunds page](https://esimwithcrypto.com/refunds/) explains the rules in full.

### Is a USDT payment private?

Crypto transfers are recorded on public blockchains, and mobile networks process device and connection information. An eSIM does not encrypt internet traffic. Read the [privacy policy](https://esimwithcrypto.com/privacy/) for the records processed by this service.

### Do I need ETH to send USDT on ERC-20?

From a self-custody wallet, yes. Every ERC-20 transfer pays Ethereum gas, and gas is paid in ETH. Keep some ETH in the same wallet as your USDT. From an exchange, you pay the exchange's withdrawal fee instead, and you do not need ETH.

### Can I send USDT from BNB Smart Chain or Polygon to the 0x address?

No. These networks use the same 0x address format, but only USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20) reaches the Ethereum address on the payment page. Funds sent on another network or in another coin can't be recovered. Choose Ethereum (ERC-20) in your wallet or exchange, or pay with USDT on Tron (TRC-20) instead.

### How long does a USDT ERC-20 payment take?

Usually about 5 minutes. eSIMwithCrypto confirms a USDT payment on Ethereum after 12 confirmations. Then the eSIM is bought, and its QR code appears in My eSIMs. For a faster confirmation, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) and SOL usually take about 1 minute.
